What exactly is an escape room?
Escape rooms are spaces specifically designed to house a number of puzzles, locks, keys, ciphers, riddles, various kinds of clues, etc for a group of people to solve in a set amount of time. It involves thoroughly investigating the space you're placed in to search for clues/keys to solve the puzzles and unlock the locks in order to "escape" the room. The clues could be literally almost anything depending on the room.
what if I am pregnant?
The rooms are 10ft x 12ft. There are many props in the rooms. Group size is 3-8 people. Caution should be exercised in regard to heat, bumping into people and objects, anxiety, panic, etc. While Escape Your Fate does not exclude participation due to pregnancy, you should keep your comfort in mind when deciding to participate.
is the door really locked?
Yes. But anyone may be released from the room at anytime. Just Ask. Once a person leaves a room, they are not allowed to return and there are no refunds. Please consider any conditions of anxiety, claustrophobia, pregnancy, diabetes etc when deciding to participate.
are the rooms heated/air conditioned?
Yes. every effort is made to keep the environment comfortable.
is there a minimum number for booking an experience?
There is a minimum booking requirement of 3. If there are only 2 people and you would like the room to yourselves, you may pay for a 3rd participant slot.
I have booked an experience. when should we arrive?
Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your experience to allow for waivers, questions, comfort issues such as restroom use, snacks, etc. Groups of 6-8 or groups using both rooms at the same time should consider arriving up to 30 minutes early.
what should I bring?
Bring your creative thinking, problem solving, and teamwork ethics. That is all you will need. We do not allow cell phones, cameras of any kind, purses, bags, backpacks, etc, food or drink, or children under the age of 8!
I brought my cell phone. can I keep it in my pocket?
No. We recommend that you leave all personal belongings in your vehicle. If you bring in phones, bags, cameras, they will be kept for you in the outer room and returned after your Escape.
Can I bring a snack or drink?
There are no food or drinks allowed in the Escape Rooms. If you bring a snack with you, please finish it before entering the room.
what if I am late?
Please make every effort to be early for your scheduled experience. Late arrival may result in a reduction of time for your experience; excessive lateness may result in a cancellation. There are no refunds for cancellations less than 24 hrs prior to your scheduled experience.
what if I want to reschedule or cancel my experience?
You may reschedule up to 24 hours prior to your experience without a fee. You may cancel any time, but canceling within 48 hours or less of your scheduled experience will result in cancellation fees which are explained on our booking page.
will there be any lifting, climbing, crawling, etc?
Please do not lift any of the furniture or heavy items. There are no items or clues under heavy items. Please do not climb on any of the furnishings; any items that may be out of reach will be accessible by provided means and are part of the experience. While some items/clues may be on the floor, there is no crawling required
Are there strobe or flashing lights, are the rooms dark?
There are no strobe or flashing lights. None of our experiences are in full darkness, but lighting levels are different depending on the setting of the experience you choose. Injustice is fully lit, Insanity is not.
are the rooms scary?
Injustice is not scary in setting or story line. Insanity is by it's nature and setting a darker experience, but there are no props or clues that are specifically scary.
How old do i have to be?
Participants must be at least 8 years old. 8-13 must be accompanied by an adult. 13 - 17 must have a waiver signed by a parent or guardian.
